  • 4 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 tablespoon honey Adjust sweetness to taste
  • Juice of 1 lemon lemon
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • fresh ginger slices Optional for extra flavor

Preparation

  • Start by boiling 4 cups of water in a pot.
  • Once the water is boiling, add the turmeric powder and stir well.
  • Remove from heat and let it steep for 10-15 minutes.
  • Strain the mixture into a pitcher.
  • Add honey, lemon juice, and black pepper while the mixture is still warm.
  • Mix well until the honey is dissolved.
  • If desired, add fresh ginger slices for extra flavor.
  • Allow it to cool, then refrigerate before serving.

Notes

Store any leftover Turmeric Detox Water in the fridge in a sealed container. It's best consumed within 3 days, but the flavors can blend even better after a day or two. You can serve it in a glass with ice for a refreshing drink.
