Ingredients
  

Pasta

  • 2 cups macaroni Use elbow macaroni or any preferred shape.

Meat

  • 1 pound ground beef or minced meat Can substitute with ground turkey or chicken.

Vegetables

  • 1 medium onion, chopped Use yellow or white onion.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic for best flavor.
  • 1 can diced tomatoes Can use fire-roasted for extra flavor.

Liquids

  • 1 cup beef broth Chicken broth can also be used.

Seasonings

  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning Adjust according to taste.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Use freshly ground black pepper if possible.

Toppings

  • Grated cheese for topping Cheddar, mozzarella, or a blend works well.

Preparation

  • Cook the macaroni according to the package instructions, then drain and set aside.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, heat the ground beef over medium heat until browned.
  • Add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook until the onion is soft and translucent.
  • Stir in the diced tomatoes, beef broth, and Italian seasoning, then season with salt and pepper.
  • Add the drained macaroni to the skillet and mix everything together until well combined.
  • Top the dish with grated cheese and let it melt before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3 to 4 days. Reheat in the microwave or stovetop.
