Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened Must be softened for easy mixing
  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Mix-Ins

  • 2 cups chocolate chips Can experiment with different types
  • 1 cup festive sprinkles or decorations

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a small bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, and salt together. Set it aside.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter with the white sugar and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  • Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Gradually blend in the dry ingredients you mixed earlier.

Baking

  • Fold in the chocolate chips and festive sprinkles.
  • Drop teaspoonfuls of dough onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are nicely golden.
  • Allow the cookies to cool on wire racks before enjoying.

Notes

Cookies are best served fresh and can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. They can also be frozen for up to three months.
