Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey Lean meat choice.
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped bell pepper
  • 1 each egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup ketchup For the glaze on top.
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • to taste salt and pepper

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, onion, bell pepper, egg, garlic, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  • Mix until everything is well combined.
  • Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a greased loaf pan.
  • Pour some additional ketchup on top for a tasty glaze.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 45-55 minutes, or until cooked through.
  • Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For added moisture, mix in some shredded carrots or zucchini. For spice, consider adding crushed red pepper flakes. Don't skip the resting time; it helps the meatloaf set for easier slicing. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days or freeze for longer storage.
