  • 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • 20 ounces fresh spinach Two 10-ounce bags
  • 1/2 medium lemon, juiced Adjust to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt Or to taste

Preparation

  • Melt butter in a pot over medium heat.
  • Add the thinly sliced garlic and cook, stirring until fragrant, about 2 minutes.
  • Add the spinach a few handfuls at a time, stirring until wilted before adding more.
  • Stir in the lemon juice and season with garlic salt.

Notes

For a stronger garlic flavor, add more garlic cloves. Adjust the lemon juice to your taste – if you love lemon, feel free to add more. Add red pepper flakes for heat or mix in grated Parmesan cheese for extra flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
