Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh cherries, pitted Use ripe cherries for the best flavor.
  • 1 cup water
  • 1-2 tablespoons dried chamomile flowers
  • 1-2 tablespoons honey or sugar Optional, adjust for sweetness.
  • as needed Ice cubes Optional, for serving.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a saucepan, bring the water to a boil.
  • Add the dried chamomile flowers and remove from heat. Let steep for about 10 minutes.
  • Strain the chamomile tea into a blender, discarding the flowers.

Blending

  • Add the pitted cherries to the blender and blend until smooth.
  • If desired, sweeten with honey or sugar and blend again.

Serving

  • Strain the juice through a fine mesh sieve for a smoother texture.
  • Serve chilled over ice, if desired.

Notes

Store any leftover juice in a clean jar with a lid in the fridge for up to two days. Shake well before serving again. You can add a slice of lemon or a cherry on top for garnish. For a fizzy drink, blend with a splash of sparkling water.
