Ingredients
  

Bread

  • 1 loaf loaf of French or Italian bread

Garlic Butter Mixture

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened Make sure the butter is soft for easy spreading.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic is preferred.
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Cheese Toppings

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a bowl, mix softened butter with minced garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper.
  • Slice the loaf of bread in half lengthwise.
  • Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly on each half of the bread.
  • Top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.

Baking

  • Place the bread on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Remove from the oven, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

Serve warm and gooey. Great side dish for spaghetti, salads, or grilled meats. Optional dipping with marinara sauce. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
