Ingredients
  

Crust

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

Filling

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 32 ounces cream cheese, softened 4 (8 ounce) packages
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream for topping

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C).
  • In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until combined. Press into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add in sugar and vanilla extract, and mix until well incorporated.
  • Add eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed to combine each before adding the next.
  • Pour the cream cheese mixture over the crust in the springform pan.

Baking

  • Bake for 55-60 minutes or until set in the center.
  • Remove from oven and let cool at room temperature.

Cooling and Serving

  • Once cooled, spread sour cream over the top.
  • Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.

Notes

Tips for a successful cheesecake: Ensure cream cheese is softened for a smooth filling. Using a water bath while baking helps prevent cracks. Let the cheesecake cool completely at room temperature before refrigerating.
