  • 3 pieces eggs Can substitute with applesauce for an egg-free option.
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder Leavening agent for the cake.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Can swap for lemon or almond extract.
  • 1 cup milk Use any type of milk based on preference.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until it’s fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each one.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract for extra flavor.
  • In another bowl, mix the flour and baking powder together.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix until smooth.

Baking

  • Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
  • Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Serving

  • Once your brilliant recipe is done baking, let it cool.
  • Serve it warm or at room temperature. It's great on its own or with a dusting of powdered sugar or a scoop of ice cream.

Notes
