Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup sugar

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened Make sure it's at room temperature.
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour a baking pan.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt until mixed well.
  • In another bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar together until it’s light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add the milk and the flour mixture, mixing until everything is smooth.
  • Pour the batter into your prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula.

Baking

  • Bake in your preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Let the cake cool in the pan before transferring it to a wire rack.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. Refrigerate for up to a week. You can freeze for up to 3 months.
