Ingredients
  

Crust and Filling Ingredients

  • 1 piece pie crust Can use store-bought or homemade
  • 500 g minced beef Ground beef
  • 1 piece onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1 egg beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  • In a pan, cook the onion and garlic until soft.
  • Add the minced beef and cook until browned.
  • Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, beef broth, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Line a pie dish with the pie crust.
  • Pour the meat mixture into the crust.
  • Cover with another layer of crust, sealing edges, and cut slits for steam.
  • Brush with the beaten egg.

Baking

  • Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

To store leftovers, let the pie cool completely, then cover tightly and keep in the fridge for up to 3 days. You can also freeze it (before baking) for up to 2 months. Seal edges tightly to avoid leaking. For extra flavor, add herbs like thyme or rosemary. Let pie cool for a few minutes after baking for easier serving.
